PhRMA, located in Washington, DC, represents the country’s leading innovative biopharmaceutical research companies by advocating for public policies that encourage the discovery of new medicines.

The Challenge

TRITECH’s was retained by the Mid-Atlantic Regional Team as the AV contractor for the renovation of their Boardroom.  As with many boardroom updates, the mission was to create a collaboration space that could be used by everyone in the organization for a variety of different working practices, from meetings and conferences to training areas with the ability to access telepresence, collaborative working methods and share presentations.

The Solutions

The display technology was a key consideration for this installation.  TRITECH discovered Prysm, who quickly became a partner for this project through the specification and delivery of its 190” Cascase solution.  This is a video wall system that is comprised of 9 x 4 TD2 LPD (Laser Phosphor Display) tiles.  In addition to the display technology, the audio system was of key concern in that the existing HVAC system presented audible interference and was unable of being modified.  As a solution, TRITECH deployed the latest in Audio DSP technology as well as wireless Gooseneck Microphones to increase voice intelligibility within the room when needed.

The Outcome

The finished system was programmed in such a way that basic user controls would be available to the everyday users within the room while the control room allowed for the advanced AV Super users to have further control to enhance the high profile meetings occurring within the space.
