IHSE USA picks up three “Best of Show” awards during InfoComm 2015

IHSE USA was awarded three “Best of Show” awards during InfoComm 2015, held in Orlando, Florida June 17-19. The awards come from two well respected publications in the Industry – AV Technology and Sound & Video Contractor. IHSE’s newest 4K KVM matrix, the 480 XV was presented awards from both publications and the K480-576 Draco tera enterprise KVM Matrix was presented the award from AV Technology. The on-site judging processing was completed by a panel of AV-industry experts who evaluated products against multiple criteria including innovation; performance against category standards; richness/relevance of features and value/ROI.

The K480-576 is a high performance, modular enterprise-sized matrix system for complete signal distribution of high definition video, audio, and data over twisted-pair copper, multi-mode fiber, or singlemode fiber. Each K480-576 frame can be configured as either a bi-directional HD-KVM switch for video and data or as a high definition video routing switcher for DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort, and VGA. Other high definition video signals such as HD-SDI, 3G-SDI and USB 3.0 are supported with the optional UNI-IO high speed I/O plug-in cards. Using the XV fiber cards for DisplayPort the K480-576 offers tremendous scalability with cost effective features supporting Ultra High Definition up to 4K at 4096 x 2160 resolutions.

“The K480-576 is our latest development supporting enterprise based KVM matrix solutions so it’s a fantastic complement to our company when leading industry experts bestow this product with such top honors,” said Dan Holland, Marketing Manager for IHSE USA. “We are seeing a huge demand for larger KVM infrastructures and the K480-576 is sized perfectly for enterprise sized command and control rooms. This award from AV Technology confirms to us our solutions provide the best in innovation and value to the AV industry.”

One of the judges commented, “The tera enterprise KVM provides end users with a massive KVM frame supporting 4K video resolutions and USB 3.0 with instantaneous switching response for mission critical applications.”

The 480 series of Draco Compact matrix switchers is a new XV (eXtreme Velocity) fiber optic version supporting video resolutions up to 4K. The 480 XV is offered in 8 ports, 16 ports, 32 ports and 48 ports models in a 1RU frame and 64 ports and 80 ports in a 2RU frame. This makes the 480XV the perfect KVM matrix solution where rack space is limited and 4K distribution is planned. The 480 XV supports the Draco vario extenders for 4K DisplayPort as well as our current Dual-Link DVI and HDMI extender models. Auxiliary bi-directional data transports for digital audio, analog audio, USB 2.0 and RS-232 can also be transported over the same fiber interconnects between the matrix and extenders.

The 480XV uses IHSE’s Flex-port technology which provides a huge time savings for system installers who normally have to pre-configure ports to specific I/O requirements. The 480 XV compact switch system includes instant switching technology for all the popular video formats up to and including 3840 x 2160 for DisplayPort at 4K. With ultra-fast speed, switching between sources is glitch-free and instantaneous thus reducing eye strain and annoying video tearing and refresh delays normally found with other systems. With the small footprint and ruggedized chassis design, the 480 XV compact is the perfect KVM space-saving solution where centralized switching of KVM is necessary. It is especially suited for mobile broadcasting, command and control systems, board rooms, production studios, and small class rooms.

“We are extremely happy that leading experts in the AV industry recognizes the innovation and value of our 480 XV KVM Matrix,” added Dan Holland. “We recognized the importance of 4K distribution and saw the 480 XV Matrix as perfect fit for expansion and integration of shared workstations fitted with 4K editing software.”

One of the judges commented, “The clean interface and extreme speed of switching of video and control was complimented by an easy to use interface and vast array of modular interface options.”
