The S8 is a professional video fluid pan/tilt head designed to support cameras weighing up to 17.6 lb. The S8 head features step-less, continuous adjustment of both pan and tilt drag; this allows you to dial in the amount of tension you feel most comfortable with for a given shot. It can pan a full 360° as well as tilt forward (lens down) 90° and backward (lens up) 70°. To help compensate for cameras weighing different amounts, as well as adapt to payloads with varying centers of gravity, the head also features a four-step (0 - 3), adjustable counterbalance system.
The removable pan bar handle can be mounted for left or right-handed operation. Additionally, a second pan bar handle, such as the BS04, can be purchased if you will be using zoom and focus remotes or desire two-handed operation.
Sliding quick release plate can be positioned up to 1.5" forward and 1.7" back of center to simply balancing Illuminated bubble level.
The 2-stage, 3-section twin leg aluminum tripod incorporates a 75mm bowl and offers sturdy support for the S8 head. It features oversized quick positive leg locks for simple and fast setup, an adjustable/removable mid-level spreader that is also height adjustable, and dual spike feet with removable rubber pads. The tripod system extends to a maximum height of 63", while getting as low as 28". A carry case and shoulder strap are included.
