The Media-2 (M-2t) is a ROBUST, HIGH PERFORMANCE media headphone at an AMAZING VALUE PRICE. Connection to the computer is via TABLET READY 4 pole 3.5mm plug or conventional 3.5mm three pole (stereo) type plugs (with included adapter). USB interface can be achieved with an audio dongle such as our NEW USB "PC Widget". NOTE: We intentionally did not make USB an integral component to control final cost. Why would one want to throw away a "sound card" because of a failed headphone or headphone cable? With the media-2 and USB PC widget schools can saves hundreds of dollars by adopting a strategy of installing one USB PC Widget per computer and using our more economical analog media-2 headphones. The headphone presents a stereo 32 ohm load to the computer output. The electret condenser microphone presents a 2K load to the computer input. Note that the design of the microphone boom is short to keep the microphone capsule out of the breath stream. This eliminates breath pops and prevents wetting of the windscreen (a sanitation issue) while retaining a very high sensitivity to voice. The microphone cable is 1.2 meters in length (approximately 4 feet). The headband is made of polypropylene {garbage can material} for durability and fits around the back of the head at the hairline rather than over the top of the head.
