Without a security interface the module can be used as a base telephone module as well as an expansion using one of the two IN/OUT RJ45 jacks. Designed with universal mounting capability that allows you to use this in almost every structured wire can. All 4 telephone lines in a Cat5e cable can expand to an additional 16 telephone expansion ports.
