The PMW-RX50 field gear is a portable SxS memory card recorder/player. It can be set to record/playback XAVC on exFAT formatted cards, 50 Mbps MPEG HD422 MXF files on UDF formatted cards created by the PMW-100/160/200 and PMW-500 memory camcorders. You can set the PMW-RX50 to work with FAT formatted SxS cards which are compatible with the XDCAM EX format made by the PMW-EX1/R or PMW-320/350. For SD applications you can make DVCAM recordings as either MXF files or XDCAM EX compatible files.

  • UDF (Professional Disc compatible), exFAT, or FAT (XDCAM EX compatible) file format mode recording and playback on SxS memory cards to have similar high res files and workflows with existing XDCAM memory camcorders
  • 16:9, 3.5 inch color LCD
  • SDI input for recording baseband signals to SxS cards
  • SDI output, HDMI output, and Composite output
  • 3.5 mm headphone jack
  • Unbalanced audio outputs (RCA x2)
  • Low power consumption
  • Compact and lightweight
  • USB interface for connecting PMW-50 as a card reader
