City planning exhibition hall is in the use of display panels, 3D models and other traditional displays. Displays have large flat video wall, profiled video wall, multi-channel projection blending, 3D projection blending, virtual simulation and other modern sound and lighting technology. The goal is to recreate the historical changes of the city in a three-dimensional blueprint way.
Application requirements
City planning exhibition hall is generally divided into the overall planning area, special planning area, historical exhibition area, cultural tourism area, and public interactive area. The exhibition hall video display system includes a large video wall, a projection blended interactive sand table, a 3D projection blended display, and a virtual simulation.
The video wall processor collects a number of 4K ultra-high resolution signals and outputs to multiple screens to form a whole picture. Multiple video wall groups are setup to get a full 3D interactive presentation, which is to show the status of city construction and planning.
With our projection edge blending technology, Tricolor displayed the city's history and culture in a new perspective and brought a new fabulous experience to all audiences.
Based on the multi-channel projection virtual simulation technology, Tricolor provided a solution with virtual 3D simulation and GIS human-computer interaction system to create a visible restoration of the city as well as a better vision and understanding of the plan.
Project planning
The planning display hall large screen display system consists of a high-performance image processor and distributed edge blending processing systems. All devices are purely hardware architecture which means very stable operation. The system has excellent image processing capability and supports multi-channel 4K video. Distributed edge blending system can be applied onto flat, arc, round, sphere screen and other special screen shapes. All devices are modular design with good stability, reliability and security.
Solution characteristics
The system adopts purely hardware design to improve reliability and security. With modular design, input and output cards are hot-swappable in order to reduce down time. Everything is done in one unit and you can control is using PC, iPad or Android tablets.
The system supports DVI, HDMI, VGA, SDI and other common format signals. Resolution is up to 4K@30Hz.
Multi-group video walls including LCD, LED, and projection, etc. can be controlled in one unit to create a multi-dimensional display experience.
For the projection edge blending system, through the camera's automatic sampling, correction, Tricolor is able to achieve color consistency across all projectors.
CrossPoint switch assigns each signal into a unique channel so Tricolor is able to have very large scale video wall processor and it is easier to maintain because signals do not interfere with each other; essentially, no down time.
In this project
Through multi-media projection, sand table, LED video wall and other LCD displays, the city's historical development, city construction and future planning can all be viewed within the facility. The entire city exhibition hall shared the integration of 113 channels, including an oval-shaped floor, a 360-degree round screen, an electric glass screen, and a 17-channel long curved video wall.
The construction of the exhibition area can be described as a fascinating scenery. Synchronized output over all of the displays to bring a spectacular experience for all the viewers.
