Bringing the best possible training experience to life demands the best technology and expertise attainable. The visualization system must include a realistic scenario and software, a high-quality screen and structure, and the integration expertise to bring it all together. In order to deliver this experience, a number of manufacturers – all leaders in their field of expertise – have bundled their efforts to showcase a prime flight simulator system at ITEC.
The visual display system was created by systems integrator, project: syntropy, and runs on a dome screen with a diameter of 4 meters (13.12 feet). HFOV is 180°, and VFOV is +100° / -30°. The visualization system consists of the newly launched Barco F70-4K6 projectors in a 6-channel setup – shown for the first time to the training and simulation community in Europe. Camera-based auto-calibration by domeprojection.com makes sure that the system performs optimally at all times. The scenario was created by Quantum3D and runs on their image generator.
