FPS Introduces OmniScale-200 - Scaler for Professional Applications

Hong Kong — (November 17th, 2010) — Flexible Picture Systems (FPS) proudly introduces the OmniScale-200 (OS-200), a professional quality Scaler ideal for converting real-time video input to digital output displays.

OmniScale enables pixel-accurate Up-Scaling and Down-Scaling with the industry’s highest quality scaling algorithms.  Applications include video wall displays, Professional Video Broadcast monitoring, LED signs, digital signage, and high quality projection systems for high-end viewing rooms.

OmniScale also features:

  • Input resolutions (NTSC to 2048 x 1080) from a variety of input signals – Analog RGB, Analog television, DVI and HDMI
  • Output resolutions from 640 x 480 to 2048 x 1080 supported on output signals of DVI, HDMI and analog RGB
  • 3 x 3 matrix color space converters on both input and output for color primary conversion
  • 10 bit  LUTs for gamma conversion and color temperature compensation
  • Advanced video processing - De-Interlacing, Noise Reduction and Cadence Correction
  • Frame lock to input
  • Multiple control options for installers – RS-232, Ethernet and USB

“OmniScale is the perfect solution for those looking to view high quality video on large displays,” said Steve Wood, President and CEO of Flexible Picture Systems.  “OmniScale’s Up-Scaling provides the best viewing of signals across multiple high resolution display devices such as video wall cube displays.  OmniScale’s Down-Scaling enables live HD video to be displayed on low resolution LED signs with excellent visual quality and without scaling artifacts.”

FPS will be demonstrating the OmniScale at InfoComm ASIA 2010, November 17th – 19th – Booth # 3F07.  For more information, please visit www.flexiblepicturesystems.com.
