HaiVision Appoints Mahmoud J. Al-Daccak as Senior Vice President of Engineering

 

MONTREAL and CHICAGO  Sept. 2, 2009  HaiVision Network Video today announced the appointment of Mahmoud J. Al-Daccak as the company’s new senior vice president of engineering. In this role at HaiVision, Al-Daccak will drive ongoing technology strategy and oversee product and solutions development for the company and its clients. He joins HaiVision with more than 21 years of product development and senior technology management experience.

Al-Daccak most recently served as vice president of engineering and then as chief technology officer at MaxT Systems, a developer of high-performance video infrastructure and remote editing applications. While at MaxT, he rebuilt the engineering team, overhauled the company’s technology direction, and participated in the strategic planning and fundraising that culminated in the acquisition of the company.

 

Al-Daccak earlier held the roles of chief technology officer of ZipLocal, COO and co-founder of Polyester Media, and vice president of product development at Discreet, a division of Autodesk.He received his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and his master's degree in mechanical engineering from McGill University in Montréal, Québec.
