Tripp Lite’s New HDMI Over Cat6 Solutions Support 4K/60 Hz Video Presentations

Send Source Content to an HDMI Display up to 125 Feet Away

Chicago, IL (September 21, 2020)—Tripp Lite, a global manufacturer of power protection and connectivity solutions, makes it easy to send 4K video to an HDMI display in classrooms, meeting rooms and home theaters.

The new video solutions have an HDMI output that supports 4K resolutions at 60 Hz. A user-supplied Cat6 cable carries video signals and power up to either 50 feet or 125 feet from the transmitter to the receiver. Cat6 cable is less bulky than video cables and provides a streamlined installation. Power over Cable (PoC) technology eliminates the need for an external power supply for the receiver.

Tripp Lite’s B127-1A1-CH extender kit sends signals over Cat6 cable from the USB-C port on a computer or other video source to an HDMI display up to 125 feet away. The transmitter supports a local HDMI monitor and has a USB-C Power Delivery port to charge and power the connected source device.

Tripp Lite’s B320-series HDMI presentation switcher and switcher/extender kits allow users to manage video output from up to four source devices, such as desktop computers, laptops, media servers and cable/satellite boxes, for viewing on a local or remote HDMI display. The switchers save time because they eliminate the need to rearrange connections to the display. Switching is controlled with the front-panel buttons, the included IR remote or an RS-232 serial controller. Depending on the model, the switchers have either four HDMI inputs or four different video inputs (HDMI, DisplayPort, USB-C and VGA + Audio) for wide compatibility with video sources.

"Conveniently managing video is essential in presentation spaces," said David Posner, Vice President of Product Marketing, Connectivity. "Whether it’s simply extending 4K signals or switching between sources, Tripp Lite over Cat6 solutions bring flexibility to installations. The source devices can be located farther away from the display, and the receivers don’t need a power outlet."
