Philadelphia, PA – April 15, 2019 – The 2019 Silfen Forum engaged a far-ranging conversation focused on the opioid epidemic, touching on its root causes and potential strategies for resolving the crisis.

Featuring University of Pennsylvania president Dr. Amy Gutmann, Joe Biden, Jeb Bush and Philadelphia mayor Jim Kenney – as well as psychobiologist Bertha Madras and Jeanmarie Perrone, director of medical toxicology at the Perelman School of Medicine – the event took place at UPenn’s hisitoric Irvine Auditorium.
