Following up to my earlier post about SMART Notebook software being available for free, here are a more tips on SMART Notebook software and licensing.

First off, the basic version of SMART Notebook is available for free. It can be downloaded from here:

As mentioned in my earlier post, this basic version provides Teachers and Educators many of the features that were available with the last free version of SMART Notebook (v11.4). It also supports Windows 10 and the latest versions of the Mac OS - and, just as important, it is free from any Flash elements. The basic version also includes the latest drivers and SMART Ink. SMART Ink can be used to annotate over any application (program, web browser, etc.) And, just to reinforce the point, this software is free!

If you would like to take advantage of the premium features of SMART Notebook and have access to SMART Learning Suite Online (SLSO), you need to purchase a license. However, keep in mind that a one year subscription to premium and SLSO comes with the purchase of a SMART Board. Contact us if you would like to purchase a new license or renew an existing license (or buy a new SMART Board!)

When you purchase/renew a license or get one with your new SMART Board, you have two choices to activate the premium features - sign on using your Google or Microsoft email account OR use the provided activation key. However, to sign on to SLSO you need to use your Google or Microsoft email account.
