Future-Proofing a Digital Signage System

Diversified Digital Media Industry Experts Provide Strategic Insights Into Maximizing System Roi by Focusing on the End Goal First

Deploying a digital signage network is a strategic investment, both in time and funding spent to bring the goal to life as well as maintain it. Once that system is in place, it rarely gets smaller, so it’s critical to have a system design that will scale and evolve with the demand. Diversified’s digital media experts TJ DiQuollo and Mitch Mittler joined the AVIXA D=SIGN Conference to highlight “Future-Proofing a Digital Signage System,” providing insights to help maximize a digital signage network’s ROI.

“I always like to tell clients we need to start with the end,” says DiQuollo. “The reason that we’re putting up these displays is to communicate with audiences and if you don’t have a clear vision, it’s hard to future-proof it and hard to maintain it as it goes because there are a lot of considerations that need to be taken in order to be able to demonstrate and realize the system’s true value.”

With COVID-19 spurring the growth of touchless technology, trends in touchless signage, voice and gesture are on the rise. While trendy right now, it’s always important to evaluate actual usability when looking to add these types of applications to a network.
