Designed to excel in even the most demanding installations, the SCR2215sm is a powerful dual woofer, three-way speaker providing incredible dynamics and high SPL levels with unrivaled visceral impact. Employing a sophisticated coaxial compression driver mounted to an 18” x 22” large format horn, each driver is optimized across a narrower frequency range. Power handling and dynamic range are increased while providing extended bandwidth, resulting in a smooth, effortless presentation of vocals and instrumentation, and a true-to-life presentation of scale. Low frequency duties are performed by dual 15" woofers with over 350 sq. inches of combined surface area. Each driver is supported by dual ports and powered by a massive motor system, resulting in a system sensitivity of 102dB. Massive 4" voice coils maximize thermal power handling, allowing the SCR-2215sm to reproduce live concert sound pressure levels for extended periods without fear of driver failure. Proprietary Digital Signal Processing (DSP) is employed for all crossover functions, time correction, and high resolution frequency response shaping. With signal filtration achieved prior to amplification and no passive filter networks in the signal path, the output stage of each amp channel is directly wired to its associated driver, maximizing power transfer and control. The result is tight, accurate bass delivered with the visceral impact experienced in the commercial theater or concert setting. The SCR-2215sm and companion PRO amplifiers are part of a sophisticated digital cinema system. Maximum output is >130dB, making the SCR-2215 suitable for large to very large room applications.
