The upgraded 2470-EX provides adjustable time delays from 6 seconds to 48 hours. Outstanding image quality, high reliability and attractive pricing have made it a first choice in global markets. The 2470-EX compensates for time-zone differences at either transmission or reception. Delay intervals can be accurately set from as little as six seconds for profanity screening in live broadcasts, or as much as 48 hours for future program replay. Delay time is quickly set with single frame precision through a Graphic User Interface. High image quality, free of motion artifacts, is achieved with 10-bit JPEG-2000 running at 100 Mb/sec. HD-SDI inputs and outputs, plus HDMI monitoring outputs are standard. Supported high definition formats are 720p and 1080i, at 59.94 and 50 Hz. Sixteen embedded audio channels are standard equipment, while 8 channels of AES/EBU audio are optional with the external DXP-2 module. Applications requiring just two channels can connect to the XLRs on the rear panel. 360 Systems’ Bit-for-Bit® data handling ensures correct playback of encoded content, such as Dolby® formats. Because the 2470-EX transports high-value program content, it employs a four-drive, RAID-5 disk array for enhanced reliability. Drives are easily replaced from the front, without removing the time delay from a rack. Power consumption is low, and forced-air cooling extends component life and reliability.
