Use to optically isolate one piece of RS485 equipment from the rest of an RS485 system or one local group of RS485 equipment from another, or it can be used as a repeater to expand an existing RS485 system beyond the standard's 32-node limitation. Can also be used to connect equipment meant for a point-to-point RS422 4-wire interface to an RS485 2-wire multidrop system in factory automation, building automation, and process automation. They can be mounted using DIN Rail and can withstand operating temperatures of -40 to 176 degrees F (-40 to 80 C).
