The sturdy metal rack ears allow units of 19-inches width to be firmly mounted in standard 2U-height equipment racks. Each rack ear has mounting holes pre-drilled and comes with a set of mounting screws for easy installation.

How it works

If mounting screws did not already come with your rack ears, find and remove the mounting screws from the Gefen unit's chassis at either the front left or front right rack ear location. Once mounting holes are clear of screws, place a rack ear against the left or right side chassis of your Gefen unit. Line up the holes in the chassis of your Gefen unit with the holes in the rack ear. Screw in the rack ear screws until mounting is firm. Do not overtighten the screws. Repeat this procedure for the other side of the unit. Once rack ears are installed onto the left and right sides of the Gefen unit's chassis, the Gefen unit can be inserted into a rack space in your equipment rack, then tightened down into the rack frame with rack frame screws (not included).
