New 100 Series Innovates Market with Advanced Audio, Simplified Configuration and Full 4K/UHD Support
AMSTERDAM, The Netherlands – February 10, 2015 – At Integrated Systems Europe, AMX, a member of the HARMAN Professional family, advanced digital media distribution by announcing the next generation in Enova DGX Digital Media Switchers, the 100 Series, featuring full 4K/Ultra-High Definition (UHD) support, advanced audio support and simplified configuration and setup.
The 100 Series is ideal for linking multiple collaboration spaces to extend AV and control to anywhere in a building or campus. To support a wide range of needs, sources and destinations; the new Series includes four models: the DGX 800 (8x8), DGX 1600 (16x16), DGX 3200 (32x32) and DGX 6400 (64x64). Aside from board capacity, each model is practically identical in features so no matter what size is right for the application, the experience remains the same. And everything that made the original Enova DGX so popular continues including full 4K/UHD end-to-end support, onboard NetLinx NX Series control with advanced security measures and exclusive AMX technologies like SmartScale and InstaGate Pro.
New capabilities like advanced audio support place this matrix switcher in a class all its own. "Only the new DGX 100s feature independent routing of audio and video signals in every model," said Robert Noble, AMX Chief Technology Officer. "Being able to offer the unmatched flexibility of combining and separating audio from video has proven to be something the marketplace has been excited to see and we're thrilled to be the first to deliver it." In addition to audio breakaway/switching, the new audio boards provide advanced audio processing and configuration capabilities such as a 10-band parametric EQ per output. AMX is the only manufacturer offering this feature as an embedded component in 8x8, 16x16, 32x32 and 64x64 digital media switcher sizes.
The 100 Series also surges to the front of the line in the digital switcher landscape with an incredibly simple to configure and convenient onboard web configuration tool. Integrators now have a web configurator that can launched from a laptop or tablet to speed through the installation process. And to cut configuration time further, DGX 100's automatically and instantly auto-discover all connected DXLink devices no matter how far away. Whether installing a new system or simply making upgrades, the web configurator and automatic DXLink setup are a huge time saver for integrators.
