The WM8501 is a stereo digital/analog converter (DAC) with an integrated 1.7 VRMS line driver. The WM8501 operates on separate analog and digital supplies with much lower power consumption from the digital section, while supporting enhanced load drive from the analog output. This DAC supports audio sampling rates up to 192 kHz and comprises a serial interface port, digital interpolation filters, multi-bit Delta Sigma modulators. The hardware control interface is used for the selection of audio data interface format, enable and de-emphasis. The WM8501 supports I²S, right Justified or DSP interfaces.
