The VFR, two-way, full range loudspeakers combine a hybrid of portable and install features that provide audio professionals with unheard of versatility. Compact and powerful, the VFR loudspeakers are part of EAW’s VF Series which includes a line of subwoofers (VSW) and stage monitors (VSM). Traditional portable features such as handles, pole cup and parallel NL4 connectors are seamlessly blended into the enclosure design. Standard installation features such as barrier strip inputs and OmniMount mounting points are subtly incorporated into the design. Each VFR features high frequency and low frequency transducers that were carefully selected to build upon the reputation of quality that EAW’s portable products are known for. Each cabinet features large, square, rotatable horns that provide outstanding pattern control. The horns in the VFR159 and VFR129 can be field replaced from standard 90° x 60° to 60° x 45° for even greater directivity. A passive crossover with switchable filter sets between horns is utilized on the VFR129 and VFR159. An optional transformer for constant voltage systems is also available. Construction of the VF Series matches the high standard long applied to all EAW products. Sturdy Baltic birch enclosures are protected by a tough, latex paint and durable, foam-backed steel grilles to shield the transducers while also hiding them from view. Dedicated U-brackets and yokes are provided. Available accessories include a Flybar for single or double pick points with pull back, a stinger which provides selectable tilt to an array from a single pick point, and another Flybar that offers fixed optimized splay angles for easy installation.
