The PD Movie Remote Air Two wireless follow focus system is a complete solution that brings reliable performance to the most involved shooting situations. Designed for standard style lenses, this dual channel system allows you to precisely control both focus and iris/ zoom with a single unit. Use the control wheel to focus from slow to quick rack moves or to ramp your zooms with no delay in latency. The durable aluminum uni-body hand unit features an OLED display with channel and connection strength read outs. With 20 channels to choose from, the unit maintains peak performance without interference up to 300 feet away.
The system features automatic lens calibration and can map virtually any cinema style lens right out of the box. The two included motors deliver professional grade performance, critical when shooting with high-end cinema glass. The motors and receiver can be powered with your existing pro battery system with the included p-tap cable. The hand unit has a rechargeable internal lithium battery and runs for up to 30 hours on a single charge. Use the included Lemo to USB charging cable to keep it powered up and ready to go.

30 hour battery life
The wireless hand controller has a 30 hour battery life which allows worry free continuous use without the need for frequent recharging. For continuous use plug the hand unit into a portable USB charger and keep on shooting.
All cables and controllers included
Compared to similar units, the PD Movie Remote Air comes out of the box with everything you need: 1 Hand Controller Unit (Transmitter) 1 Motor Control Unit (Receiver) Standard Torque or High Torque Drive Motors, and cabling. Simply plug the provided D-tap power cable to a pro battery (not included) or other D-tap power supply options at 12-20v.
Fits 15mm and19mm Rods
Two step-down rings are provided for securely mounting the motor and the receiver to the 15mm or 19mm rods.
PD Move Remote Air comes in 4 versions to meet your shooting requirements
The PD1 Remote Air One = Single Channel. One standard drive motor
The PD2 Remote Air Two = Dual channel programming. Two standard drive motors
The PD1-HT Remote Air One High Torque = Single Channel. One High Torque motor
The PD2-HT Remote Air Two High Torque = Dual Chanel. One High Torque, One standard drive motor.
The Standard Drive Motor will work with smaller easily moveable geared focus rings. It is adaptable with lenses without focus rings by attaching a focus ring (not included). It will drive most standard 0.8 geared cinema primes or zooms however it is recommended that if the “action” of the lens is tight or the diameter is large you use a High Torque version. The High Torque Drive motor works with all lenses with standard 0.8 lens gearing. It is the recommended motor for zoom control, larger diameter lenses or lenses with a tighter barrel movement. The high torque motor has a motor clutching feature to protect your lens’ hard stops. The motor drive gear is a soft gear to protect your lens.

Range up to 300’
Use the remote air confidently up to 300’. By utilizing the Transmit (TX) and Received (RX) signal strength read-out on the hand control, the operator can move around the set freely while keeping signal throughout the shot. Execute gimbal, jib or remote
Automatic Lens Calibration
A single button push will automatically calibrate the lens to its hard stops. Then you are ready to begin marking your points on one of three provided removable focus marking disks.
Maps Cine Style Lenses
PD Movie Remote Air can easily map you cine style lenses. The included 32 pitch 0.8 gear will fit most available cine lenses. Additional lens pitch gears 0.6 and 0.4 are offered separately (soon to be available)
Maps Lenses without Hard Stops
Even if your lenses don’t have hard stops the PD Movie Remote Air allows mapping of lenses by calibrating the lens with a lens strap.
Sets Manual A-B Stop
With the PD Movie Remote air the manual set up allows the user to create the same effect as a hard stop just like a traditional follow focus.
3D Lens Control
If you wish to control two identical lenses side by side such as when shooting 3D footage both lens motors can be controlled simultaneously with one hand control unit.
