Article posted on October 30, 2017

GLEN BURNIE, MD, October 30, 2017 – Vision Technologies, Inc. (Vision), a leading systems integrator, recognizes the importance of community involvement. Vision supported many charitable causes during the past year. Employees worked with organizations, such as The American Heart Association, March of Dimes, Mercy Health Corporate Partners Program, Helping Heroes Operation Second Chance for wounded, injured and ill veterans, United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation, United Way of Central Maryland, Believe in Tomorrow Foundation for critically ill children, Maryland Red Cross through bi-annual blood donations, Harvest of Plenty through United Way, Montgomery College Scholarship Foundation, and the George Washington University Student Athlete Foundation. After a devastating fire, Vision provided furniture, support and fundraising to rebuild the New Fellowship Community Church in Baltimore.

In addition, community involvement included the following:

  • Golf tournament sponsorships for Frederick Memorial Hospital and Hospice of Frederick County, CareFirst and United Way
  • Local school supply drive for a Title I school
  • Coat, hat, scarf and glove donations for the Anne Arundel County school system
  • Food, coats, hats, blankets and tents for the homeless
  • The items listed above plus cleaning supplies, cases of water, bathroom essentials, and pet supplies for flood victims in Texas

Al Saxon, Vision’s senior vice president of sales and marketing commented, “Charitable giving is at the core of everything we do at Vision. Each day, we make it our business to get involved and give back to the communities we serve.” Mr. Saxon indicated that although the year is not over, Vision has already planned its community efforts for 2018.
