NEWCASTLE, DE (04/13/2015) AudioScience, Inc., a leader of professional audio peripherals for the broadcast and installed sound industries, has announced a new additions to its series of half height sound cards. The ASI6744, ASI5744, ASI5788 and BOB1038 will debut at NAB 2015 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Providing 4 or 12 play streams that are mixed to 4 balanced stereo outputs and 4 record streams fed from 4 balanced stereo inputs, the ASI6744 features AudioScience's unique "anything to anywhere" mixing and routing. The ASI6744 provides both balanced analog and AES/EBU inputs and outputs. The maximum analog input and output level is +24dBu. The addition of GPIO truly makes the ASI6744 a radio automation system on a card. The ASI6744 contains 8 opto-isolated inputs and four relay isolated outputs. Standard features of AudioScience's broadcast sound cards are also included such as MRX multi-rate mixing, TSX compression/expansion and SSX multi-channel mode.

The new ASI5744 and ASI5788 are designed for applications that do not need the broadcast specific features of the ASI6744, while still providing the half height form factor

The new BOB1038 provides 8 stereo inputs and outputs in a 1U form factor with terminal block connectivity. The BOB1038 can be operated in either balanced analog or AES/EBU digital modes. Both modes also support up to 16 GPIO inputs and 4 GPIO outputs, when used with the ASI6700 series sound cards. Cable options allow usage with the ASI5500/5600/6500/6600 series cards.

32 and 64bit drivers are provided for Windows 7, 8, Server 2008/2012, as well as for Linux. SDKs are available for Windows and Linux using either standard APIs such as DirectSound or ALSA, or the proprietary AudioScience HPI and ASX interfaces.
