The MU-STIX-GF thumb drive-sized HDMI pattern generator is equipped with a female HDMI signal output port, which provides additional in-field and rack room pass/fail signal transmission path verification flexibility.

While the MU-STIX-G with its male HDMI connector negates the need for an additional HDMI cable to rapidly test a display device, HDMI switcher, distribution amplifier, MXnet 1G encoder, or 10G transceiver, the MU-STIX-GF with its female HDMI port facilitates testing in tight spaces via HDMI cable extension.

Coupled with the MU-STIX-AF HDMI analyzer, end-to-end signal throughput and HDMI cable bandwidth/continuity verification are possible.

The STIX ecosystem was initially developed as a resource for AVPro Edge's internal quality control. It was conceived as an asymmetric testing methodology for dynamically transmitting, receiving, and logging test sources through 1,152 MXnet endpoint transmitters and receivers, an impossibility with conventional source devices. Additionally, with the MU-STIX-CTL, data exchanges relating to signal dropouts or transmission send/receive failures are communicated and logged.

The MU-STIX-GF generates video test patterns at resolutions from 720p/ 60 fps through 8K/ 30 fps, including 4K/120 fps High Frame Rate. A mini OLED screen displays the selected pattern, resolution, bit rate, color space, and HDCP version when used in stand-alone applications.

Murideo’s collection of STIX verification devices enables rapid yet thorough in-house signal throughput confirmation before site deployment to verify that endpoint devices are correctly functioning, appropriately responding to programming, and aligned with system performance parameters.

The MU-STIX-GF is a convenient, cost-effective multi-resolution format generator for commercial or residential integrators when simple pass/fail transmission path and display capability verification are required.
