Looking for a new or renewed rear-projection video wall? Then check out these new Barco releases!

Oct. 11, 2022 - Great news from our rear-projection cube division: they are launching not one but two new products! The OverView MVL-621 is a new member in the industry-standard series and complements the MVL-721. Additionally, we also provide a new upgrade kit for legacy 70” Mitsubishi cubes, giving users the opportunity to both extend the lifetime and boost the performance of the video wall solution.

Introducing the MVL-621

The OverView MVL-621 is a 60” rear-projection cube in Barco’s mid-end, industry-standard MVL series. Powered by a highly reliable LED-light source, the series is renowned for its excellent value for money. Customers now have the opportunity to choose between the 70” MVL-721 and the 60” MVL-621 – the latter being preferred when the operator positions are located closer to the video wall or to meet the control room height requirements.

The MVL-621 delivers a great brightness performance, for a minimal energy consumption. This makes this product probably the most eco-friendly video wall solution on the market today. Add the good image quality to this, and you get a rear-projection video wall that ticks all the boxes of the mid-segment – and beyond.

Upgrade kit for legacy Mitsubishi cubes

Rear-projection cubes are renowned for their long lifetime. And even after many years of operations, when the projection module has reached the end of its lifetime, the mechanics and the projection screen are still in good shape. That is why Barco offers upgrade kits for its legacy cube systems: it gives users the opportunity to refurbish their system with new LASER-powered technology (and enjoy big performance benefits), without disturbing infrastructural works and large downtime. Additionally, reusing the bulk of the cube results in a much eco-friendlier solution.

Last year, Barco launched the opportunity to refurbish Mitsubishi’s legacy 67” cubes with a powerful Barco ODL-engine. Now we extend this offering to include also 70” models. The benefits for the users remain the same, including a significantly lower TCO, up to 2x more brightness, less energy consumption and no downtime during installation.

This enhanced product portfolio further shows Barco’s commitment to the RPC technology for 24/7 control room applications.
