High-end simplicity
Athena combines media server functionalities with cinema processing electronics, that mean the complete install will have fewer boxes, leading to greater reliablity and ease-of-use. The Alchemy module combines the functionalities of an Integrated Cinema Processor (ICP) and media server into one single board and forms the core of the Barco Alchemy cinema at home projectors.
Frame Rate
Frame rates beyond the 24 fps cinema standard can improve image quality, particularly on fast-moving scenes and camera pans, by reducing motion blur artifacts. This effect is even more apparent on 3D and 4K content. Higher frame rates offer filmmakers an additional creative tool.
