Brightline Lights Illuminate Virtual Learning and Meetings at Temple University

Flex-T Multi-Directional Lights Selected for Office of University President; ZELo Desktop Lights Provide Customized and Easy-to-Use Controls for Optimal Visibility

Bridgeville, Penn. – April 6, 2022 – Brightline, a leading manufacturer of video lighting systems, announced a sale of 13 ZELo desktop lights and four Flex-T Series multi-directional lights to Temple University in Philadelphia. The project came together through the efforts of lighting consultant O'Donohoe Lighting and lighting rep agency Diversified Lighting.

The ZELo desktop lights are currently in use by faculty and administrators at Temple for remote instruction and internal meetings. The Flex-T's will be used to light the office of the President of Temple University, Dr. Jason Wingard. Wingard made headlines last year after his appointment as the first African American to serve as President in the school's 138-year history. He was previously the dean and professor of the School of Professional Studies at Columbia University.

Temple prides itself on its diverse and global staff. With many different complexions represented, a one-size-fits-all videoconferencing light wouldn't work. The ZELo has soft and adjustable lighting that can be tilted for the most flattering angle. And built-in manual controls make it easy to change brightness and color temperature. Users can also make adjustments using Brightline's free app for iOS and Android portable devices.

With the improved visibility provided by the new lighting, students and staff now report much greater satisfaction with virtual instruction and school meetings.

"ZELo was constructed to meet the critical lighting requirements of broadcasters, but it's affordable enough for a wide range of users," explained Kathy Katz, Brightline managing partner. "We're thrilled that Temple University recognized the power of ZELo for virtual learning and meetings. It's extremely easy to adjust the light to suit your skin tone and the overall levels that work best for the application. Online classes and meetings remain a key way to communicate. With ZELo, your audience can concentrate on your message instead of poor imaging."

ZELo delivers broadcast-quality, enhanced personal lighting in any workspace for business professionals, educators, broadcasters, and more. With its variable color temperature, ZELo blends with any ambient room light environment. ZELo also supports voice control through Alexa and Google Assistant devices.

The ZELo desktop video light is priced at $229 and is available here: brightlines.com/brightlineshop and on Amazon. Click here for a list of ZELo distributors.

The versatile Flex-T lights can be installed in any type of ceiling. Their patented articulation feature makes them the only fixtures that can be rotated into a desired position during use and returned flush to the ceiling between sessions or for general task lighting.
