Christie to showcase smart tech at InfoComm China 2024

BEIJING – Christie® is set to unveil a comprehensive array of cutting-edge smart technologies, designed to inspire exceptional experiences at InfoComm China 2024, taking place in the China National Convention Center (CNCC) from April 17-19.

At booth EA2-01 in Hall E, visitors can explore the newest lineup of visual and integrated solutions, featuring RGB pure laser projectors, 1DLP® laser projectors, LED video walls, and powerful content management and processing solutions. These versatile offerings cater to a range of applications, including planetariums and dome theaters, which are growing in demand and popularity.

“Being at the forefront of innovative visual technologies that empower our customers to deliver extraordinary experiences, we take immense pride in showcasing our full range of leading-edge solutions that truly make a difference,” says April Qin, senior sales director for China, Enterprise, Christie. “Our current focus lies in providing spectacular visuals for planetariums and dome theaters, where Christie leads the market for such installations in major cities across China. This segment is poised for growth, and we are ready to help our customers enhance the visitor experience.”

RGB pure laser projection for large-venue applications

Among the key highlights is a projection mapping demonstration on a massive, custom-built Ectosphere, brought to life by Christie M 4K25 RGB pure laser projectors. Utilizing astronomy-related content, this setup showcases the projector’s impressive capabilities, including its 25,300 lumens brightness, 4K UHD resolution, and remarkably compact design. Perfectly tailored for large-scale venues such as planetariums, the M 4K25 RGB delivers vibrant, immersive visuals that captivate audiences with rich, bright colors and stunning detail.

Attendees can also check out an eye-catching blended display accomplished by the flagship Griffyn 4K50-RGB and 4K35-RGB pure laser projectors. Capable of lighting any surface with an impressive brightness of up to 50,000 lumens, this all-in-one, omnidirectional projector series operates on single phase power for cost savings and is ideal for demanding large-venue applications on the ground or in the air.

New HS Series 1DLP debuts in China

The new Christie 4K13-HS 1DLP laser projector will debut in China with a fascinating projection on an array of hexagonal shapes showcased during ISE 2024. Delivering 14,800 lumens, the 4K13-HS provides high-brightness projection solutions, ensuring sharp and clear images in 4K UHD resolution. Colors appear natural, and blacks are deeper, thanks to the built-in Christie BoldColor+™ technology. Coupled with the brighter 4K22-HS laser projector boasting 22,500 lumens, this display promises to capture attention effortlessly.

Core Series III LED offers performance and reliability

Another product showing for the first time in China is the Christie Core Series III LED video wall solution, offering various pixel pitches and catering to installations of any size where price is a factor, such as corporate lobbies, meeting rooms, and digital signage applications. Presented in the form of LED bar clusters at the booth entrance and a video wall in 5-by-2 array, the Core Series III features an ADA-compliant direct-mount system for easier handling and installation, along with redundant on-board power and front-serviceability.

Content management solutions and static displays

The mesmerizing visuals showcased throughout the booth are achieved using advanced content management solutions. Experience the capabilities of Pandoras Box Software, which provides users with complete workflow control for enhanced efficiency and the creation of astonishing visuals. Additionally, witness Christie Guardian, an optional feature of Christie Mystique, which seamlessly and automatically calibrates misaligned images in real-time without interruption, even during content playback. Alongside, explore the Christie Terra SDVoE solution, enabling the transport, processing, and control of audiovisual content, including 4K@60Hz video formats, over 10G Ethernet networks.

Get up close with the latest projector models making their debut in China through static displays. These include the M 4K15 RGB pure laser projector, weighing just 38.1 kg (83.8 lbs.), and the Inspire Series 4K860-iS laser projector, boasting 4K UHD resolution. Also on show are China-specific variants of the HS Series and GS Series 1DLP laser projectors, alongside the Crimson Series 3DLP laser projector, all meticulously engineered to withstand the rigors of high-usage applications.

Christie to participate in TEA panel discussion

Christie’s participation in InfoComm China will include a panel discussion organized with the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA), titled “Immerse & Inspire: The Art and Science of Storytelling for Guests” at Room 309B, CNCC on Wednesday, April 17. Michael Bosworth, executive vice president for Enterprise, Christie, will be part of a three-member panel consisting of notable figures from the themed entertainment industry.
