SoundMate portable listening system is a battery operated VHF wireless personal monitoring system and packed into professional carrying case with foam-padded interior. The system is notable for its ease of operation and lightweight of the principal components, clarity of sound and 300ft operating range. The SoundMate SMP-2 system consists of the PST-170 transmitter which operates on one of 17 selectable frequencies, six single channel, fixed frequency SR-50 portable receivers with companion HED-2 collapsible headphones and the HM-2 headworn microphone which features discreet, behind-the-head headband and lightweight. The system briefcase with custom foam inserts and 14 AA alkaline batteries are also part of the package. The SMP-2 is designed as low cost alternative solution for bus and museum tours, house of worship or theatrical assistive listening applications and conferencing situations involving multi-client and multi-user translation needs.
