EMCORE’s OTS-4MLTR-A2/A3-SC interface card is compliant to the military specification MIL-STD-1553 defining a Digital Time Division Command/Response Multiplexed Data Bus. The 1553A data bus is a dual-redundant, bidirectional, Manchester II encoded data bus with a high bit error reliability. All bus communications are controlled and initiated by a main bus controller. The Optiva single slot insert card contains 4 independent 1553 channels (transformer coupled) and an optical LC duplex receptacle interface. The 4 channels of the 1553 module are transparently extended through the fiber links.
