This server hosts the file conversion service behind the PrestoVideo front-end software. (MM-1142) Our MM-8100PV is a server-grade rack-mount PC running a custom MediaMaster server application atop the latest business-grade version of Microsoft Windows. This server converts PowerPoint presentations uploaded through the MM-1142 front end to a video format compatible with ETR’s digital video distribution system. This server typically sits in the server or video source rack, though it could be installed anywhere on the site’s LAN. A UPS battery backup is highly recommended. It can share backup power facilities with the main MediaMaster server (MM-1000, 2000, 3000 or 4000) if the specified UPS is large enough.
