BoxIO is an advanced color management device designed for both color critical
postproduction environments and demanding on-set color management applications.
BoxIO has unique capabilities not found on typical LUT boxes including:
• Simultaneous support of 3D and 1D LUTs.
You can store up to 16 33x33x33.cube in single channel operation and up to 16 17x17x17.dat or 16 17x17x17.cube files per channel for a total of 32 LUTs and 1D shaper LUTS for single or dual channel operation that can be applied on the front and/or backside of the 3D LUT for an incredibly flexible color management work flow. LUTs can be sent to flash memory or stored directly on BoxIO and activated with the BOxIO IP remote control utility.
• Ability to operate in dual-channel mode making BoxIO 2 LUT boxes in 1 device
In single channel mode you can route the input from either SDI1 or SDI1 to Channel 1 and Channel 2 SDI outputs allowing for a high degree of color accuracy when using BoxIO for running calibration LUTs. In Dual-Channel Mode input signals can be routed independently and simultaneously to either Channel1 or channel2 outputs. This means DITs can run signals from multiple sources and apply independent LUTs to either output channel, maximizing flexibility and eliminating the need for additional equipment on-set
• IP Ethernet and WiFi connectivity
Users can connect to BoxIO via infrastructure to a current network or with an Ad hoc wired or wireless connection directly to their computer. The IP based connection allows for direct interface with the BoxIO IP remote control utility and integrates directly with many of today's popular live color grading and color management applications. IP connectivity also ensures that the user will always be able to connect over a well established protocol without worrying about OS dependent software drivers.
• Clean loop throughs so that BoxIO is not relegated to being an end of chain device.
Unique to BoxIO is the addition of unprocessed 3Gbps SDI Loop throughs. Users can use these clean outputs to run signals to other downstream equipment such as scopes that do not need LUT applied signals. This eliminates the need for splitters or distribution amps simplifying cart set up or room design
