The WSTFX is a compact RF transmitter unit which can send a USITT DMX-512 lighting control signal to compatible wireless DMX receivers or wireless equipped DMX dimmers. The DMX signal to be transmitted is supplied to the unit via a standard DMX 5 pin Male XLR connector from any DMX console. Multiple compatible receivers may be operated with a single transmitter.

The wireless system uses the 2.45 GHz band and operates at low power (< 100mW). The operating range is approximately 1400 ft. indoors and about 4000 ft. for outdoor operation. An 83 Channel Hopping signal scheme is used to ensure reliable communications.
