The ST/SR-1W1A/1F-2 system incorporates digital encoding technology. This fiber-optic module transmits 1 channel of NTSC/PAL Video (10Bit, 7MHz), 1 bi-directional multi-protocol data, 2 bi-directional audio (600 Ohm, Balanced-standard), 2 bi-directional contact closure over one fiber. This is multimode fiber system. The versatility of the ST/SR-1W1A/1F-2 system is improved by SpectraView, an on-screen-video-diagnostic/setup firmware system and SpectraSmart, an optional PC based network-diagnostic-system. SpectraView monitors the integrity of the fiber link. A break in the fiber path cause a loss of fiber alarm to be displayed on an associated monitor. SpectraView is easy to use, always active and eliminates the need for additional test equipment. SpectraView includes a selectable on-board audio and data test signal generator with built-in local and remote loop-back functions. The ST/SR-1W1A/1F-2 product is fully compatible with Meridians PC based SpectraSmart network management and diagnostic software system. SpectraSmart supervises the operating parameters of the transmission system such as the status on video levels, sync, digital carrier detect, voltages, temperatures, optical levels etc.
