The On Point Audio OPA 8 NP is a high-performance 8-inch two-way coaxial loudspeaker system housed in an ultra-miniature sized, rock-solid marine Birch enclosure that's only 7.2 in / 183 mm wide. The system's small size is made possible by the use of On Point Audio's exclusive Narrow-Profile driver technology that combines a traditional 8-inch cone with a new surround design and a rectangular frame that extends to the side edges of the enclosure. The system's components consists of a single 8-inch woofer and a coaxially-mounted 1.35-inch pure titanium compression driver built by On Point Audio. The OPA 8 NP was designed to provide superior vocal intelligibility and excellent musical fidelity for indoor installations. The OPA 8 NP features a 90-degree conical high-frequency coverage pattern, making it ideal for use in near to medium-range applications. The system provides 150 watts continuous, 600 watts peak power handling. The OPA 8 NP's enclosure is built of 9-ply marine-grade birch plywood covered in On Point Audio's PowerCoat finish. The enclosure is equipped with multiple M8 rigging points on its top, back, bottom and sides to accommodate a range of suspension options. The M8 suspension points are heavily reinforced and provide greater than 8:1 safety factor. The OPA 8 NP can be suspended with the optional On Point Audio M8 Eye Bolt Kit-W, the OPA-8-NP-U U-Bracket or the PTB-8NP pan & tilt bracket. The OPA 8 NP's input section consists of a 4-position barrier strip with stainless steel hardware.
