PreSonus®’ WorxAudio PDA-1000R two-channel, Dante™-enabled power amplifier delivers 500W of Class D power per channel in a three-rackspace (3U) form factor. Designed primarily for use with WorxAudio loudspeakers, the PDA-1000R incorporates powerful PreSonus Active Integration™ DSP that can be controlled using WorxControl loudspeaker management and remote control/monitoring software for Mac® and Windows®.

Featuring a network setup wizard that scans for all available loudspeakers, PreSonus’ WorxControl uses the PDA-1000R’s onboard DSP to provide a suite of advanced editing controls for customizing the system. You get an 800 ms alignment delay, 8-band parametric EQ, limiter, and compressor for each speaker. Manage groups of speakers, monitor system performance, and more-all without the need for external speaker management processors.

Because the PDA-1000R is Dante-enabled, it connects to a Dante-networked mixer or other sound source via one CAT5 or CAT6 cable and benefits from Dante’s no hassle, self-configuring, plug-and-play digital audio networking. The amplifier’s combination of DSP capabilities, Dante networking, and WorxControl make the process of deploying world-class sound reinforcement systems far more streamlined, with quick and easy access to all features.

The PDA-1000R is equipped with an XLR line-level input, an XLR line-level pass-through output, a highpass filter, input-level and gain-reduction metering, and indicators for temperature, signal present, -3 dB pad on, limiter active, and clip. You also get a highpass (redundant) filter and two onboard presets for cancelling the effects of mutual coupling.

The settings used in various third-party DSPs are inconsistent, potentially creating substantial variations in sound quality. In contrast, the PDA-1000 features model-specific programming for WorxAudio loudspeakers that ensure phase coherency and a flat frequency response. As a result, any biamped WorxAudio loudspeaker can be properly powered with one or more PDA-1000Rs.
