The R&S®AVG050 has two DVB-S/DVB-S2 demodulators that can receive up to two satellite feeds containing transport streams (TS). Two common interface (CI) slots are available for decoding encrypted content fed from satellites. These CI slots can accommodate various conditional access (CA) modules to support two different encryption methods at the same time.

  • ASI input interface
    • R&S®AVG050 also has an ASI input interface. An encrypted transport stream can be fed via this input interface and decoded in the R&S®AVG050
  • Output interfaces
    • Demodulated satellite signals and the decrypted ASI transport stream can be simultaneously output via the two ASI interfaces or via Ethernet
    • R&S®AVG050 IP output supports UDP/RTP protocols as well as error protection according to SMPTE 2022-2
  • Operation
    • A clearly organized, intuitive user interface is provided for configuration and monitoring
    • All commands used for automatic monitoring and device settings can also be configured via an SNMP interface
  • Compact
    • Very compact satellite receiver is only half the width of a 19" rack and consumes very little power
