The CMI-100 provides the television industry with cost-effective and automated means of inserting constant metadata into SMPTE 259M and SMPTE 292M signals. The CMI-100 automatically and repetitively inserts audio metadata, active format descriptors (AFD) and other metadata into the VANC of HD and SD signals. Based on the openGear open-architecture modular frame, the CMI-100 offers complete user interface through DashBoard, the free Java-based application that provides common control and monitoring interface for multiple openGear frames and cards. Also available is heads-up display on separate monitoring outputs that allows card status and parameters to be viewed and adjusted using the card-mounted finger joystick.
