The maximum capacity of HCS-8300M series CMU is 60 contribution units. If extra contribution units are needed, HCS-8300ME/FS or HCS-8300ME Congress Extension Main Unit(s) must be added. The outlet connectors of both are identical. Each HCS-8300ME/FS or HCS-8300ME has two EXTENSION IN interfaces used to connect HCS-8300M series CMU or a preceding Congress Extension Main Unit, and an EXTENSION OUT interface for the next Congress Extension Main Unit.
