Tornado enclosures comprise clear UV-resistant acrylic dome, in which luminaire has complete freedom of movement, and an aluminum base, containing Tempest’s patented Digital Enclosure Control electronics, fans and heating elements. By monitoring the interior temperature and humidity of enclosure, DEC controls humidity and dew point, eliminating deadly condensation, 24/7. When fixture is running, Tornado’s powerful fans exchange filtered air inside enclosure every 2 to 3 seconds, ensuring long lamp and equipment life. It has been tested and approved for most 1200W and 1500W moving head luminaires and list is growing all time.
