The BPG6714 PCI express backplane is a small form factor PICMG 1.3 backplane that supports a single or dual-processor single board computer, one x16 PCI Express slot driven with a x16 PCIe link and a x8 PCIe slot driven with a x4/x1 PCIe link. Both PCIe links are direct interfaces from the SBC.

The BPG6714 also features one 64-bit/133MHz PCI-X and two 64-bit/100MHz PCI-X option card slots that are driven with a dual-channel PCIe-to-PCI-X bridge chip. The PCI-X slots can also support universal PCI I/O cards.

Designed to fit into a small chassis or embedded inside an OEM machine, the shoebox layout provides the capability for rack mount computer and storage system designs to support multiple small form factor backplanes/single board computers within a single enclosure.
