NEW FROM WILLIAMS AV: BLUE POD AND BLUE POD AIR

Minneapolis, Minn. – The all-new BLUE POD and BLUE POD AIR from Williams AV are ready to revolutionize the world of audio conferencing with the innovative integration of Bluetooth® technology.

Tap BLUE POD to simplify conference calls in your meeting rooms using your mobile device.  Make a call by simply touching the Bluetooth connect button on your phone; no special software is needed.  Use the iOS and Android apps for complete system setup control.  Select the speakers and microphones you want to use.  BLUE POD features an integrated mixer with DSP functions, including Acoustic Echo Cancellation.  The mixer includes four inputs, two line outputs and two 25-watt amplifiers.  The patent-pending design allows for integration of the Bluetooth transceiver (the POD) into the ceiling directly over your workspace, minimizing distance limitations and signal blockage.

BLUE POD AIR showcases all the features of the BLUE POD -- plus wireless video display mirroring for mobile devices using Airplay®, Google Chromecast and Miracast™.  So, in addition to functioning as an amazing Bluetooth audio conferencing system, the BLUE POD AIR allows for easy connection of your mobile device to the room display.  Simply tap the display-mirroring connect button already on your device.  BLUE POD AIR is also equipped with an HDMI output, supporting up to 1080P.  Installation is as simple as installing an HDMI cable directly to your display.   It’s easy to integrate BLUE POD and BLUE POD AIR into your existing audio system as an input source on an existing audio mixer, or by using the existing speakers in the room.

“It has long been a hurdle for many integrators to design integrated audio/video rooms that support wireless devices such as PCs, tablets and smartphones,” says Rob Sheeley, president and CEO of Williams AV.  “Most wireless users expect a simple solution to wirelessly connect their devices to a room’s AV system.  We challenged ourselves to design a system allowing integrators to select appropriate speakers, microphones and displays for the room -- and then allow any mobile device to access them.  BLUE POD and BLUE POD AIR are the first systems designed specifically for mobile-device users who demand a professional AV experience using best-in-class AV transducer components.”
