Scott Pyke joins AMX in newly-created Operations Manager role for Australia & New Zealand as a foundation for continued growth.
24 January 2013 – AMX has enjoyed record growth in 2012 with the release and enormous success of the Enova digital video product family, ground-breaking X-Series control surfaces and next-generation of the AMX Resource Management Suite. To maintain the industry-leading service operations of the organisation and build the foundations for continued growth, Scott Pyke joins AMX in a newly created role of Operations Manager for the region. Scott assumes management of all local Customer Service operations including Technical Support, Information Technology, Logistics and Property Services in Australia & New Zealand.
Scott joins AMX from GlobalX where over 8 years he held the roles of General Manager of Technology and General Manager of Operations. Scott was responsible for technology policy, 24x365 datacentre and critical systems up-time and the full delivery of both software and cloud products for the global information broker. In the operations role Scott oversaw 50 staff in Australia and the UK and serviced a customer base of 12,000+ with key programmes of compliance, channel management and product delivery. Scott has a degree in Computer Science and is currently completing his Executive MBA at QUT along with 20 years experience in the corporate IT industry in Australia, UK and Switzerland in both technical and management roles. Scott brings extensive experience in both operations and customer service to AMX in a critical period as the company continues to grow exponentially and transitions into the Unified Communications space.
"I am excited by the additional experience and depth Scott will bring to the AMX team" says Graham Evans, General Manager for Australia & New Zealand. "As well as providing a focused ownership of customer service operations to facilitate continued growth, Scott's appointment also allows our existing Management Team to engage more richly with AMX end-users, dealers and consultants throughout the region. Scott's strong IT background reflects our transition and investment in a greater IT focus as the convergence of the traditional AV industry with IT continues to evolve."
"AV/IT is a dynamic industry and an exciting challenge for me after my time in the IT/Software industry" says Scott. "I look forward to bringing my experience and passion for delivering outstanding outcomes to AMX customers, building on AMXs' 25 years of service and working with a great team of people. Please don't hesitate to contact me directly if I can be of any assistance."
Scott will be based in AMX's Australia & New Zealand headquarters in Southport, Queensland and will also be responsible for property services in the new AMX offices in Melbourne, Sydney & Auckland.
