Christie Enlightens ProLight + Sound with Nitro Solutions Digital Luminaires
Posted on Wednesday, April 6, 2011
Christie is pleased to announce its participation to Prolight + Sound the International fair of technologies and services for events and entertainment, on Hall 9, Stand B10

Prolight + Sound/Frankfurt (D), – (6th April, 2011) – Christie, an award-winning visual technologies company, is pleased to announce its participation to Prolight + Sound (6th - 9th April 2011), the International fair of technologies and services for events and entertainment, on Hall 9, Stand B10.

The stand will be divided across two zones. The first zone will showcase the award winning Christie MicroTiles™ as well as a two-channel edge blend with two Christie WU12K-M managed by Christie Spyder X20 and 42 CONTROLS® S.P.O.C. The second zone will provide a complete lighting show with video animations created and piloted by renowned international lighting designer Bruno Corsini.

Christie Nitro Solutions, the modular series of motorised moving yokes, can provide up to 20,000 ANSI lumens of video projection, creating high brightness imagery on any surface, from anywhere. With the optional Xenon or LED lighting heads, the system can produce up to 50,000 lumens of lighting. Nitro Solutions can be installed at ground level or rigged to a truss, and are ideal for building projection, architectural lighting and cityscapes and live events such as concerts and theatre presentations.

Says Bruno Corsini: “No other solution on the market provides such a level of flexibility and power.  The brilliance of 20,000 lumens cuts through a lot of ambient and stray light from other sources and allows light engineers to break away from a traditional frame, shooting onto virtually any surface anywhere. This really offers new perspectives in lighting and events in general.”

Bruno Corsini will pilot dynamic content on the stand from behind a GrandMA console from MA Lighting, displaying an urban environment and animations to demonstrate the superiority of the Nitro solutions.  The modular approach of the Christie range expands the effectiveness of the moving yoke platform by allowing the user to deploy the yoke with either a video projector or light head. Other features include DMX512 control and a quick lock attachment system for easy set up and take down.

Shipping with a three year warranty and Christie’s renowned service and support, Christie Nitro Solutions offer three motorised yoke options: a dual-arm yoke (Christie YK200) for larger video projectors ranging from 12,000 to 20,000 ANSI lumens, and two single-arm yoke: The Christie YK100 for LED heads and projectors ranging from 5,700 to 15,000 ANSI lumens, as well as the YK50 dedicated to smaller LCD projectors.
