"It operates on a mesh network, so wireless control range can be expanded to suit each individual installation. It's also more stable than other wireless technologies and offers longer life for battery-operated shades."

Using Zigbee also opens the ability for better monitoring of shades as well as other smart devices on home networks.

The new Somfy Zigbee motors are available for the newly introduced FlexStyle™ shading system as well as the company's existing FlexShade line. Both lines feature hundreds of fabric color, texture, and openness choices from American weavers Phifer and Mermet USA, plus custom colors, patterns, and graphics.
