Shure Announces Fall Schedule for Advanced Wireless Seminars
Posted on Tuesday, September 21, 2010

NILES, IL, September 21, 2010—Shure Incorporated has announced the fall series of its successful Advanced Wireless Seminars.  The company is staging the events around the U.S. for its dealers and technicians from major venues.  This leg of the tour will include stops in Detroit, Virginia Beach, Minneapolis, and San Francisco.

Each six-hour Advanced Wireless Seminar covers the fundamentals of wireless transmission, including radio wave behavior, transmitter and receiver design, antenna placement, RF spectrum, and frequency coordination.  The potential impact of new devices operating in the TV band ‘white spaces’ is also discussed, and the use of RF scanning equipment and software aids to analyze spectrum conditions and guide frequency planning is demonstrated.  The session in Minneapolis will feature additional hands-on training, with attendees participating in antenna management and frequency coordination exercises.

To date, Shure’s Advanced Wireless Seminars have been very well received.  One comment of note from a past attendee: “The Intermodulation Distortion presentation was the clearest I have ever seen—bravo! I really enjoyed the personable and educational value of the presentation—the basics leading into more technical topics.”

“As the spectrum becomes more crowded and the use of wireless audio equipment increases, wireless system setup becomes much more important,” said Gino Sigismondi, Technical Training Manager – Americas for Shure.  “These seminars give our customers the tools they need to maximize the performance of their wireless systems.”

Attendees also can earn Certified Technology Specialist renewal credits through InfoComm.

Seminar dates and locations are as follows:

September 16, 2010 – Detroit/Novi, MI
October 16, 2010 – Virginia Beach, VA
November 16, 2010 – Minneapolis/Eden Prairie, MN
December 7, 2010 – San Francisco/Emeryville, CA
