The ONYX Series Audio Routing Switcher provides various multi-format functions with consistently excellent performance. Switching sizes 32×32 and below use the switching matrix. The switching matrix integrates communication control, switching control and I/O channels into one module, available for analog and digital audio. Switching sizes above 32×32 use Digital Crosspoint Switch Module for analog or digital audio. The input module converts analog audio to digital. The audio is then routed to the Digital Crosspoint Switch before being output as analog audio by the Digital-to-Analog conversion at the output module.
